I was into Church of Satan stuff for awhile, still like alot of what Anton Lavey said in his books. He was a funny guy but died poor same with Crowley. its kind of a waste of time compared to just having the power of intention do the work in your life.
If you read Carl Jung, he kind of links psychology with the occult together. I think a lot of ritual work is more of a psychological thing- like a psychodrama where you release or gather energy within...Of course a lot of people on here may just think this stuff is loony, is it to a certain extent admittedly, but to me its a personal thing, whether it'd be a good luck charm you wear to a basketball game you're playing, or some ritual, its a private thing that people are into to psychologically anchor themselves into feeling a certain way or preparing themselves for something
